Working with Deanna has been wonderful. Coming in as essentially a yoga newbie, in a mixed-level class with my coworkers, she has helped the whole class move through practice together. I wasn’t nervous, but I was very happy to have someone that I connected with to help guide us through the basics early on and let us take the time to get comfortable that we needed. Deanna fosters a relaxed environment, where you know you are getting good yoga instruction, but it’s not intimidating and we can all joke around a little. In our busy lives, Yoga, for many of us, gets pushed to the bottom of our lists. For the past year, my company has had Deanna from Rock Water Yoga, leading a virtual yoga class. Deanna has taken my work team’s unique setup of being scattered throughout the country as remote employees and created a yoga class the both helps our group connect with one another while also improving our physical and mental states through her teaching. Despite our digital limitations, she has turned logging in to a Skype-like setup into a session that can be followed through our monitors, with plenty of room for personalization and individual feedback if we desire it.
